Our homeschool operates from our family home in Danville, California, serving our four children. We understand education fundamentally as discipleship, weaving the Holy Scriptures into every subject so that wisdom, virtuous character, and a deep love for truth might take root in the hearts and minds of our students (Proverbs 1:7; Colossians 2:3).

Our pedagogical approach is rooted in the classical tradition and informed by the insights of Charlotte Mason. We emphasize the use of living books, the discipline of narration, and rich, hands-on engagement with the created order, all while remaining attentive and responsive to the unique gifts and callings God has bestowed upon each child (Romans 12:6–8).

The core curriculum follows the classical Trivium, guiding students through its three stages of learning—Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric—across the essential branches of knowledge. In the Grammar stage, students master the foundational elements of language and facts: English (reading, composition, and grammar), mathematics, science (taught from a robust creationist perspective that affirms the authority and historicity of Genesis 1–2), history (examined through the providential hand of God, in keeping with Psalm 78:1–8), fine arts, and physical education. As students mature, they advance into the Logic stage, learning to reason clearly, analyze ideas, and discern truth from error. In the Rhetoric stage, they cultivate the ability to express ideas persuasively and eloquently, applying their knowledge with wisdom and virtue.

Beyond these foundational subjects, we cultivate the soul through bible studies, the memorization and meditation of Scripture (Psalm 119:11), and deliberate training in a distinctly Christian worldview. We select curricular resources that align with the historic creeds and confessions of the faith, particularly the Westminster Confession of Faith, thereby guarding doctrinal soundness and fidelity to orthodox Christianity.

Extracurricular formation includes family devotions, systematic music education, active participation in the local church, and opportunities for community service.

Our ultimate aim is to equip our children for a life of godly wisdom and faithful vocation, so that they might serve as salt and light in their generation.
